Much is at stake when the AT&T/T-Mobile merger looks to pass Department Of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) scrutiny later this year. If one looks past the rhetoric of the detractors, what should become apparent is that this merger is good for the consumer.
Is more consistent service better for the consumer? Is the ability to utilize increased wireless spectrum for greater access and tecnological wireless advances good for the consumer? Is increased competition between wireless behemoths better for consumer pricing structures? As legacy Regional Bell Operating Company revenues continue to shrink, the competition in growth areas like wireless increases which is good for the consumer.
